Going On A Meditation Journey!

In Mountain class this term we have been listening to some “Relax Kids’ Meditation stories. The class especially like listening to one of these after playtime, as part of our afternoon class puja.They have written their own versions, and we have made them into a class story book, so that we can use one whenever we need a bit of calm!




Finlay
“ Close your eyes and be very still, and imagine you are a puppy, curled up in a soft basket. As you go to sleep, you have a dream and imagine you are in space. You see an Alien, and it will play with you. It will make you feel dizzy but nice...


Now say to yourself:
I feel peaceful and friendly,
I feel peaceful and friendly,
I feel peaceful and friendly.....


Now, when you are ready, wiggle your fingers and toes, rub your hands together to place on your face to wake up your eyes, and give a big stretch”


Oscar
“ Close your eyes and be very still, and imagine you are in a cave. It has crystals in the walls, making it all sparkly. You feel warm and cosy in the dark, the cave feels strong and magical...


Now say to yourself:
I feel calm and magical,
I feel calm and magical,
I feel calm and magical.....


Now, when you are ready, wiggle your fingers and toes, rub your hands together to place on your face to wake up your eyes, and give a big stretch”


Dorian
“ Close your eyes and be very still, and imagine you are a cloud. You feel fluffy and soft, and you have wispy white bits floating around. You feel soft and calm...


Now say to yourself:
I am floating high in th sky, with no one to disturb me,
I am floating high in th sky, with no one to disturb me,,
I am floating high in th sky, with no one to disturb me,.....


Now, when you are ready, wiggle your fingers and toes, rub your hands together to place on your face to wake up your eyes, and give a big stretch”


Olivia
Close your eyes and be very still, and imagine you are a kitten, soft and fluffy and sleepy. You have black fur, a pink nose and sparkly blue eyes. You feel calm and relaxed...


Now say to yourself:
I am really warm, I am really relaxed,
I am really warm, I am really relaxed,
I am really warm, I am really relaxed.....


Now, when you are ready, wiggle your fingers and toes, rub your hands together to place on your face to wake up your eyes, and give a big stretch”


Felix
“Close your eyes and be very still, and imagine you are a floating high in the sky, held up by four balloons. You have little pins, to help let you down gently You feel happy and safe...


Now say to yourself:
I feel happy and safe,
I feel happy and safe,
I feel happy and safe.....


Now, when you are ready, wiggle your fingers and toes, rub your hands together to place on your face to wake up your eyes, and give a big stretch”


Toby
“Close your eyes and be very still, and imagine you are a fish, gently bobbing along the bottom of the ocean. You have rainbow curls, and you sparkle in the water. You feel like you are going through a waterfall...


Now say to yourself:
I am gentle
I am gentle
I am gentle.....


Now, when you are ready, wiggle your fingers and toes, rub your hands together to place on your face to wake up your eyes, and give a big stretch”


Summer
“Close your eyes and be very still, and imagine you are a dolphin in the sea, flicking through the waves.
You have beautiful shiny skin and a relaxed smile on your face...


Now say to yourself:
I am relaxing in the sea
I am relaxing in the sea
I am relaxing in the sea


Now, when you are ready, wiggle your fingers and toes, rub your hands together to place on your face to wake up your eyes, and give a big stretch”


Ilyana
“ Close your eyes and be very still, and imagine that you are a mermaid swimming on the back of a whale. You have flowing golden hair and a sparkly tail, as you ride through the waves. You feel comfortable and safe.....


Now say to yourself:
I am relaxed, I am comfortable
I am relaxed, I am comfortable
I am relaxed, I am comfortable....


Now, when you are ready, wiggle your fingers and toes, rub your hands together to place on your face to wake up your eyes, and give a big stretch”


Hazel
“ Close your eyes and be very still, and imagine that you are a little kitten, playing with a ball of white fluffy wool. You feel happy because you are at home.....


Now say to yourself:
I am warm
I am warm,
I am warm...


Now, when you are ready, wiggle your fingers and toes, rub your hands together to place on your face to wake up your eyes, and give a big stretch”


Tiger
“ Close your eyes and be very still, and imagine that you are a magical horse with powers. You have a horn, wings and silver hooves. You feel peaceful and strong as you fly over the fields.....


Now say to yourself:
I am magical
I am magical,
I am magical....


Now, when you are ready, wiggle your fingers and toes, rub your hands together to place on your face to wake up your eyes, and give a big stretch”


Fred
“ Close your eyes and be very still, and imagine that you are a soft fluffy cloud, floating high above the countryside. You feel alive and relaxed and calm.


Now say to yourself:
I am peaceful
I am peaceful,
I am peaceful...


Now, when you are ready, wiggle your fingers and toes, rub your hands together to place on your face to wake up your eyes, and give a big stretch”


Amanda
“ Close your eyes and be very still, and imagine that you are in a forest, and that you are a unicorn. You have a kitten and a baby panda to play with. You have a horn and a long tail, and feel magical and special


Now say to yourself:
I am magical
I am magical,
I am magical....


Now, when you are ready, wiggle your fingers and toes, rub your hands together to place on your face to wake up your eyes, and give a big stretch”


Noah
“ Close your eyes and be very still, and imagine that you are in the desert, surrounded by Tiger snakes. You have a baby Tiger snake to play with. You feel happy and amazed.


Now say to yourself:
I feel amazed
I feel amazed,
I feel amazed...


Now, when you are ready, wiggle your fingers and toes, rub your hands together to place on your face to wake up your eyes, and give a big stretch”


Matilda
“ Close your eyes and be very still, and imagine that you are a shooting star, racing across the night sky. You have a long sparkly tail that glitters. You feel magical and special


Now say to yourself:
I am going on a journey
I am going on a journey,
I am going on a journey...


Now, when you are ready, wiggle your fingers and toes, rub your hands together to place on your face to wake up your eyes, and give a big stretch”


Sam
“ Close your eyes and be very still, and imagine that you are in a forest full of animals. You have a baby panda to play with. You feel happy and playful.


Now say to yourself:
I am relaxed

I am relaxed..
